Neurotica

気になっていたブランドがあったので、ご紹介。neuroticaというイギリス発のブランド。

ロンドンのTOPSHOPは、行ったことがある人はご存知のように、地下に新人クリエーターの作るお洋服やvintageがたくさん。そこで取り扱っていたのを見たような。TOPSHOPオリジナルのブランドだけではないのです。

そこでよく私も買い物をしていましたが、本当に若手を応援するロンドンのあり方って見習いたいと思っていました。実は、韓国にもそういったお店があって、ちょっと名前忘れちゃいましたがミョンドンのアメリカンアパレルの近くにセレクトショップ+ヴィンテージ・クリエーターズマーケットのような物があります。つまり、名の知れたブランドから名のまだ知れないブランドがたくさん売られているのです。しかも大体の値段も１万円前後のものなので、気に入ったらためらわずに買ってしまいます。

そういうお気に入りのブランドを見つけるのも旅をしながらの私の楽しみです。

Neurotica is a unique, concept driven fashion label specialising in original illustration, print and textiles that explores the contrast between the sweet, the sinister and the beauty of the everyday.

Defined as someone “excessively obsessed with everyday things” the term Neurotic is derived from the Greek word Neuron- meaning “Over stimulation of the nerves and senses”; combined with an implication of sensuality this definition perfectly sums up the labels philosophy.

All Neurotica garments are hand made and hand printed in England to the highest quality using special supersoft and superfine custom woven and dyed jerseys. Neurotica pieces are special, unique, and totally wearable, combining playful sophistication with classic silhouettes and quirky detailing.
